- When a new domain is registered, eNom sends an email on our behalf to the registrant email address listed on the new registration
- The verification email will inform the registrant that they must verify their email address within 15 calendar days of the domain name registration.
- The verification email will contain a link for the client to click on and thus verify the email. Once an email address has been verified, any other new domains registrations purchased using that email address WILL NOT have to go through this process again. Once an email address is verified, it is verified on all active domains or new domains using that email address.
- If the registrant does not click on the link provided in the email within 15 days, eNom will overtake the DNS on the domain and put up a suspension page stating that the domain is not verified and explaining what needs to be done as well as an option to resend the verification email. Once the domain has been verified, eNom will point the domain back to the original DNS the domain was registered with and the site/email will come back online within 24 to 48 hours.
